Resilience is a term that refers to the ability of people to recover after traumas and to respond in a way that makes them stronger. In this approach the personality is defined as unique – its characteristics, talent, and opportunities represent the strengths, on which we could lean in the support process that we provide as professionals. The support and assistance are focused on the abilities of the personality, and not on the problems.

In conceptual terms our activity is based on the resilience approach, and the understanding about “good treatment” is a standard in our work. In this Resource Centre we offer the professionals various materials – literature, studies, programs, and analyses that summarize our experience from the last years in the application of the resilience approach in our practice with children and their families.
