Children Shared that Positive Relationships Matter for Motivation and Inspiration - REVIS Project pilots in Bulgaria

REVIS pilot projects started in January 2022, in two schools in Sofia and Lovech, Bulgaria. The "Responding to Violence against Children in Schools and Adjacent Settings" project is being implemented in 4 countries – Croatia, Romania, Serbia and Bulgaria. The project will be implemented in an additional eight schools, where trained facilitators will work with children to achieve a safer school environment.

The activities engage young people in art and play-based work. By following the Guide, facilitators lead children and young people through a process of identifying social and gender norms around violence in their school and community, and engage them in building on positive norms.

Children are very active, and share their opinions and ideas for positive change in their school environment. During the first workshops, children shared that positive relationships matter for motivation and inspiration — connections can be made more effective if people feel safe and inspired.
