On November 19th, 2009 in Grand Hotel Sofia SAPI organized a Round Table on the project "Development of the Capacity and the Relationship between the Juvenile Justice System and the Monitoring of Child Labour in Bulgaria",

supported technically and financially by the International Labour Organization (ILO). Within the framework of the afore-mentioned project an analysis of the legislation in the sphere of anti-social acts of children and the protection of children committing such acts was carried out. The conclusions based on this analysis confirm the assumption made a long time ago by state organs and non-government organizations that immediate reform of the legislation determining the penal policies and procedures regarding children is needed as well as its harmonization with the legislation related to child protection. At the conclusive meeting on the project we will put for discussion the results from our research and we will once again urge decision-making bodies and organs to embark on legislative changes.
