National Resource Center for Foster Care

The expected increase in the number of foster families in the country seriously raises the question of how to ensure the quality of foster care. The development of the Resource Center for Foster Care meets the need for quality training of future trainers and specialists to support candidates for foster families.

The methodology for providing foster care services is a good basis for standardization of practice across the country regarding the various steps and responsibilities of the different actors on the one hand, and ensuring the integrity and completeness of the process on the other. However, still remains serious the problem relating to the preparation of specialists responsible for the selection, evaluation and training of candidates for foster parents and subsequent support for these candidates.
