Blue Rooms
Since 2007, SAPI has been developing child-friendly justice practices. In 2008 it opened Bulgaria's first "blue room" - a specialised room for interviewing and hearing children for the needs of the justice system, subsequently setting up more than 20 such rooms in different cities across the country.
It trains professionals to mediate interviews and hearings of children in criminal and civil cases, supervises and supports methodologically their activities.
SAPI's experience has been emulated by various state and local actors.
