The children in CSC-Sofia visited new interesting places within the framework of the summer program
As part of the summer program of the CSC - module "Cultural Tourism" - on 05.08.2010 was organized a visit to the Natural History Museum. The goal was to introduce the children to the biodiversity of the animal and plant species.
Six children from the Home "P.R.Slaveikov" took part in the event.
On the way to the museum the children used the underground and had a chance to see the buildings of the Presidency, the Ministerial Council, the National Assembly, and the Bulgarian National Bank, as well as learn about the public function of these buildings. They were very impressed by the golden statues of St. Sofia and the Fire in front of the monument of the Unknown Soldier. One of the children shared that this fire burns in the memory of the thousands of soldiers who died in the name of Bulgaria. In the museum the children looked through the expositions, commented on them excitedly, and asked numerous questions.
