The project is directed towards favoring the reform in the prison system, guaranteeing the human rights of detainees and the creation of conditions for their deriving benefit from the stay in prison.The idea underlying the project is to support the changes needed to be performed in one of the 13 prisons in the country - Sofia Prison. Besides the opportunity for improving the skills for assessment of offenders, specialized programs for group work with young prisoners have been provided - anger and aggression management, development of skills for problems management and working with sexual offenders.
The project had a duration of 10 months and was funded by the program European Initiative for Democracy and Human Rights.
