Mariama Dialo - an attache of the Ministry of External Affairs of France on children's rights for Bulgaria, Roumania and Moldova, accompanied by Maya Grozdanova, a representative of UNICEF, George Bogdanov, executive director of the National Children's Network and Ivo Bojkov, responsible for the French Program PROCOPIL in the NCN were at a work visit in Shoumen. They had meetings with the Mayor of the Municipality of Shoumen Krasimir Kostov, the Deputy Mayor on social policy and health Sedat Kadir and the Director of the section "Social Policy and Health" Petranka Petrova.

The guests discussed the reform in the social sphere with directors of social institutions in Shoumen. The Director of the CSSCF-Shoumen Veneta Gospodinova participated in the meeting and later accompanied the guests on their visit to the Unit "Mother and Baby". She presented the social services that the Complex offers. A main accent was placed on the services for prevention of child abandonment in specialized institutions and the development of foster care as an alternative of institualization of children at risk that SAPI develops in Shoumen through projects funded by UNICEF - "Extension of the model for foster care in Bulgaria" and "Family for every child".

During her visit in the Unit "Mother and Baby" Mariama Dialo met with and talked to the mothers that receive support along with their babies.
