A seminar with subject "Coordination Mechanism for Assistance to Victims of Domestic Violence" - a road to the long-term cessation of domestic violence was held on 6 July in the Regional Administration - Montana. The event was held under the auspices of Ms Maria Gabriel, Deputy Chair of the EPP Group in the European Parliament, and head of the Bulgarian delegation to the EPP Group, who made a video address to all participants.

The seminar was opened by the Regional Governor Mr. Rosen Belchev, I. Gechovska – Zone Protection and Katia Krastanova - Animus Association Foundation. Both delegates were present. District governors Mrs. Nina Petkova and Mr. Tsvetko Tsvetkov.

All invited participants took active part in presentations, sharing best practices and difficulties in interinstitutional cooperation.

The forum presented successful practices in the Coordinated Actions for Support of Victims of Domestic Violence in the Montana District and the Social Services for Supporting Persons Victims of Domestic Violence and Work with Persons Perpetrators - "Children's Center for Advocacy and Support - Zone Protection" – Montana.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Iliyana Stoycheva from the European Women's Lobby has introduced the audience with the European practices for inter-institutional co-operation in domestic violence.

The meeting ended with a discussion between the participants.
