SOCIAL WORKERS AND A FOSTER FAMILY FROM SHOUMEN SUPPORTED PARENTS SO THAT THEY COULD TAKE CARE OF THEIR NEW-BORN BABY

A new-born baby was placed in a foster family in the beginning of July. During the month a social worker from the CSSCF - Shoumen planned and provided support to the biological parents of the child. The family was consulted as well as assisted financially within the framework of the project of UNICEF "A family for every child". Repairing materials were bought so that the house where the parents lived was renovated.

On July 29th the girl was reintegrated in the home of her biological parents.

The support for the parents continues.

The active work of the team of partners working on the prevention of child abandonment on maternal hospital level also continues.

TEN MORE CHILDREN FROM THE HMSCC-SHOUMEN WILL BE PLACED IN FOSTER CARE

In July and the beginning of August foster family will start procedures getting to know 10 children from HMSCC. The decision was taken at a work meeting of the partners that work for the development of the social service Foster Care in the Municipality of Shoumen /SSD, CPU, social service providers, coordinators of the project "A family fot every child", HMSCC/ that took place on July 8th, 2011.

At the meeting the start and the goals of the campaign, "For the babies and their need to be loved", for recruiting foster families for new-born babies and small children were presented; the current situation regarding the implementation of the project "A family for every child" and the implementation of the decisions of the partner team from May 5t, 2011 were discussed.

The profiles of the children from HMSCC that will be placed in foster care were also presented at the meeting.
