News from the project Resilience without borders"
Three work seminars with international consultants were held between November 30th and December 2nd - participants were Stefan Vanistendael and Jeanne Meyer, as well as various teams of the project "Resilience without borders".
The topic of the seminar with educational purpose was dedicated to the prevention of violence against children and the work with children that have been traumatized. Special attention was paid to the preparation of the training program for school teams. The work group consisting of the local coordinators of the project had the chance to discuss the successes and challenges of resilience in the community. The representatives of three schools that work since October on the prevention of violence in the context of resilience had the chance to share their enthusiasm from the fast inclusion of the children and from the "opening" of the schools to the parents. The consultants gave instructions about activities for prevention and shared details from the work based on the approach in three schools in Holland.
In January 2011 the work of two more schools - "Sava Dobroplodni" in Shoumen, and "Professor Batakliev" in Pazardjik - in the practical application of the resilience approach will be started through the implementation of school projects aimed at the prevention of violence against children.
